i'm not talk about the historical points. (you are right about the historical point, no word about). I'm talking about the balance of the planes in this game.
from this site stats you can see that even if the german dancers have less fuel, they win against the allied runners. what if the dancers can have more fuel? there is no story at all. if fuel is leveled, there is one less point to take care and think about in this game. maybe i used a wrong word when i talk about mechanics; what i mean is when for example a se5a meets an albatross dva either planes must take care of their fuel. and normally it ends up with the alb with more fuel then the se5a. if either have the same amount of fuel, the only one who must think is the allied.
the only penalized planes are the Camel and the Fokker dr1. as I pointed out in other place, i prefer to see the stability rule applied more then fuel.
in my opinion fuel is an important point in the balance of this game.
i'm not against house rules, but these rules must give something more in the game and not unbalance it. In my opinion, the fuel rule will unbalance the game (as told before). others can make some improvment, i don't know. i wish i could have the lewis gun and the target choice before any other change.
