behind the difference in endurance there are a lot of reasons, first of all the fact that a plane with a flight endurance of 1.5 hours, like the Fokker D.VII, had to act in a different way from one with an endurance of 2.5 hours, like the S.E.5A, that's to say that it could not try to out maneuver its opponents, it had to close in and shoot them down it the shorter time possible. If you give everybody the same fuel you loose this aspect, and this aspect, in my opinion, is one of the best parts of this game.
