Hello from Spain fellow pilots.
In regards of planes flying for hours...I've been seeking some info about the endurance of these planes for a campaign system BaronLederhosen started to develop and, since his departure off the Blue Max world, I've been continuing... or tried to at least (I'm close to start a small mini campaign with 2 squadrons to beta test it). But back to where I was...
I've been seeking for info and I have found that these planes had an endurance of as short as 90 minutes (Nieuport 28, Spad VII, Fokker Dr.I and Fokker D.VII) and as long as those 180 minutes of both Bristol F2B and Halberstadt CL IIa. All the rest are in between.
My only doubt is why a Nieuport 28 has 45 and the Fokker D.VII has 37. I suppose it has to do with some info more accurate than the one I've found that seems to be too roughly approx.
About tracking of enemy's fuel and the random amount of fuel added: the random quantity of fuel added is something in the rules if I'm not wrong and had to do with a die roll (I seem to remember this but not sure). Anyway here it is in between of 0 and 7 and I think it was the same to all planes in the dogfight, so I don't see the point. Or in other words. If I have a Dr.I and have 40 to start, then I know that Camel will start with 58. But again I might be wrong |
