But the fuel is not realistic, and as the BM game designer said, was only introduced to give the game an end. The work sheets of the original edition had room for only 25 moves so that was around the limit they were expecting.
What this avoids and fuel doesn't is the tendancy of games ending with german pilots having to retreat or being shot down while doing the 2/9 waltz to safety.
And as I said, earlier, as an option, we get to try it out, see if it works, see if we like it, and then make an informed decision. |
