Just wanted to says thanks for creating such a great game! I have thoroughly enjoyed playing this game, both online and board, for many years and have since "introduced" many friends to the game and this website. By the way, my wife calls Blue Max "that stupid biplane game" whenever I log on to play. She doesn't understand. Forgive her.
On a side note, I forget where I saw the reference or rumor, but is it true that you are working on getting Blue Max republished as a board game, incorporating many of the "Canvas Eagles" variations?
Just curious.

Wow, Noble huh. First time I have been called that. Thanks for the kind words. I forgive your wife unless she decides you can't play anymore. Then we will have to have words.
About two years ago Eric Hotz and I sort of signed an agreement to put both Blue Max and Canvas Eagles into a web store where it could be purchased online. The agreement ran out on April 1st of this year, but I haven't made an issue of it. Eric was working last September on getting the rules re-written in a format that could go onto the site but his father passed away and he spent several months getting his affairs straightened out. As Eric is a freelance graphics man he then had to go back to work on making a living and meeting deadlines, plus he appears to have gotten interested in Wild West as he is doing folding buildings for the wild west, Whitewash City, and selling them as downloads. I haven't talked to him for nearly a year about BM and I do need to find out if he is still interested. The folks from Stratelibre were somewhat interested but never called back, and I took the rights back from RAFM when they failed to pay up on what they owed me. If it ever happens that it gets republished I will certainly announce it here first. |
