One thing I love BM is its continuation of the Romantic era of the Knighthood in the middle age. When compare to comtempoary Air War, when everything is just watch the screen and push button. WWI is really raw and natural in human fight. I read many documentaion about WWI and the Air force in the early stage is not the focus of the War as it is another battle. The loading is small compare with ballon, The real use of bombing and strategic bombing is WWII, WWI air battle is just like gladiator, Every one fight for their own survival. I play a game call "the Ancient Art of war in the sky" and it begins my interest of the WWI. Very romantic indeed. (Sound a little bit odd, how can be war is romantic? But The Air battle of WWI really is, no cheat, real blood, face to face, A duel between courage and skill)
The largest constraint in designing a game is what the company wants. ... And most importantly, 23 years later, while its contemporay board games based on flying are nowhere to be found, it is still being played.
This explanation is very comprehensive for those who are interested in game design, just like me. It is a business and the KISS rules really insight me. thx. Hope to talk with u later.
