In game 521768, your surrender may well have changed the outcome as far as who gets how many league points. The players were not all happy about that (read game notes). It also left your teammates out of luck.
In 521764, you committed suicide with your ships and likely changed the outcome, but no idea why. Was that a surrender of sorts, or just an error perhaps? That was a *really* strange one! My guess is that it was an error.
I don't think surrender was appropriate in 521768, but, that's me.
