A user had to go out of their way to be offended by clicking on his profile. What of the many other user names currently on the site which are likely to offend someone (and some which were obviously intended to push that envelope), for example:
Ray_Collishaw - might be offensive to relatives of the pilot who feel the online user's skills are an insult to their ancestor; ...
Wait. First of all, I took this name over three months ago, well before all this bullshit began. Secundo, the intend was to put some historical facts in the game and let be known one of the finest WW1 pilot. If any one pilot here were to click to Ray's bio from my 'HomePage or other cool site' and read it, I would think that its memory is kept alive.
But, for the interest of the site, if any webmaster/owner/imdog like user should decide to go ahead with the 'doesn't means anything' way for usernames, I would appreciate to keep my records (wich is not bad... ). Just a rename would be OK.
Finally, I just introduced TODAY my 9 year old son to the online game (we already play with my home made 1/72' version of Canvas Eagles) and took another Canadian ace as username. But don't worry, he won't start FlameWar V. |
