The other two games come as a little bit of a suprise to me, someone who basicly considers himself a 'Wargamer', but they are:
The Empire Builder series of games which are really the same game played on a variety of maps. The original was first published by Mayfair Games in Chicago. They are generally classified as "crayon - railroad" games and I think they would lend themselves very well to a "Web conversion".
The second game is Strat-o-Matic Baseball, a game syatem that allows one to replay previous baseball seasons in either a face to face managing and die rolling format or as a computer game.
There are many, many true wargames that I've enjoyed over 40 or 45 years of gaming, there are none that I kept on playing like BM, SoM, and EB. Eventually all others become pretty repetitive and end up collecting dust (don't our wives just love that?)
Keep on having fun, Bombadil
Take me out to the ballgame. |
