Are you trying to tell me that when I put a little puff of cotton on my miniature tank, that five tiny men are not REALLY burned to death ???
Having spent 20 years in the military, I think I have a pretty good handle on the real thing and the fantasy in cardboard.
You sir, seem intent on rolling over for ever trouble maker who wanders into the site and then crying for appeasement and heaping abuse on those who have the balls to stand up and protest.
The fellow was told to tone down his in game chat and to eliminate the Nazi overtones of his profile. He ignored the requests and began to post even more abusive messages. Tempers, quite understandably, began to flare and what were once reasonable requests became heated demands for this guy to be shown the door. All the while you were appealing to everyone for calm, just ignore him, he will stop, though I don't recall you asking HIM to stop. Well to carry the anaolgy of the irritating guest at the party, one step further. When that guest starts pissing on my carpet, burning holes in my sofa with a cigarette and spitting at my other guests, then the time for politeness has ended and I will show him very firmly and forcefully through the door.
I am sure you missed the point of the comparison to the Trade Towers. Hester certainly in no way compares to that sort of carnage, but the attitude you have displayed in your defense of his actions is very similar to the attitude displayed by those who try to defend and explain away the actions of those terrorists. If we can only try to understand where they are coming from, try to reach a compromise, then everything will be fine.
Chamberlain tried that with his famous "Peace in our Time" agreement with Hitler and we all know where that ended.
I will say it once more and hopefully for the last time. If you do not have the balls to stand up to
a trouble maker, then stay the Hell out of the way of those who do.
For the record, my wife did NOT make any personal attacks, despite being repeatedly attacked herself and abused in her personal e-mail. She is NOT expecting an apology from you.
