I am not asking to insert a new feature, that do not exist in the original game. Nor to adequate the game to some storical fact.
We can discuss for long the question regarding planes maneuver capability, speed and such thing, and imho, it would be really interesting. Unfortunately this is not the right thread 
Doing this would bring the discussion off-topic.
The Nieuport 17 comes in the *ORIGINAL GAME* (Blue Max, not Canvas Eagle) with two "configurations", where the plane stats, fuel, maneuvers are all the same.
Players do have a choice to choose to flight it with a single gun, or two guns : vickers and Lewis. For the board game playing, this is interesting while choosing to play a campaign :
-french Nieuport got a single gun
-british Nieuport got the two guns option
and so in the early war campaign british got a doubleMG plane available.
Now, like this would make the plane go slower, or be more heavier, do not care, since we are not making a test, with the intention to improve a rule.
Once more , I'm asking if we can have in the future the option to use a plane that exist and can be played in the original game too. |
