So if I understand your correctly the next Squadron Cup will be in 2008?
Hello John, although the best answer should come from organizers themselves, my way to understand it (and it might be wrong) is that there is one event of each on every year and if their personal situation allows them to organize the cups, leagues et all.
Of course, there is room for many other events (and a good number of them have been run too by good people like Troll or pokerguy for example), but I assume these other events should be organized by other people. I'm sure no one should complain to anyone willing to organize them, the question is: who will jump in? I find it not easy because it is loads of time consuming, and also ability to keep things updated in an understandable way, and something very important: doing it not expecting much from participants, even some complaints more times than it should be considering they do it for free, and they do it fairly well I'd add.
Being said this, just say thanks to all organizers and tell you that squadrons can, at least, enjoy direct challenges to other squadrons. Just posting here offering your squadron to a challenge, or mailing to other squadron leaders directly. It might not be the same competitive feeling, but yet is very enjoyable and strengthen friendship between squadrons pilots.
And to give an example, you can contact me anytime in case you are interested to any kind of challenge games between your new squadron and the Shakespearos.
