The Bristol's gun configuration was also changed for the online version. As I recall, the board game had the Bristol with 2 rear Lewis guns making it an even tougher plane to fight. The compromise on youplay was to change it to only 1 rear gun but not a lewis type. Perhaps a compromise could be reached with the N17 as well. Perhaps give it 2 forward guns but reduce its stability to a C for the 2 gun version only.
Wait wait I said we have to keep the game rules, so no changes on moves, stability, or general official BlueMax rules.
I ask that we introduce a *new* model (available in the official game too, and not destined to replace the single gun Nieuport17), even in an experimental way. That can be tested with 1 or 2 scenarios, like 1vs1 or 2vs2 Nieuport(2 guns) against Albatros DIII.
Arguing with the not available Lewis option is pointless because we have *yet* a model that override this rule : Se5a (originally with 1f, 1fl).
Since the plane models set has been enlarged with the Siemens D.I I hope it is not too hard to do. The problem may be that all actual Nieuport17 pictures are classified as single gun. So giving one or 2 two of them the 2mg status would create the need to redesign a number of scearios (like those with 6 Nieuports in). |
