It would give the N.17 a small fighting chance. Not a big one, but it would improve its firepower.

There would be less players choosing 'slaughter the N.17s' scenarios to rack up easy kills.

Though in game mechanics...we could argue about the SE5a's Lewis. The game uses the 2 front guns version instead of the Lewis + 1 gun.

Personally, I hope to see the N.17 get 2 guns.
