The board game industry is TOUGH. Especially rough for war games. I worked for Steve Jackson for a bit. I really enjoyed being a part of his company. I couldn't afford it though. I was the circulation manager for The Space Gamer magazine. I handled their retail sales (small part of the business by design), and all customer complaints. For this I earned a nickel over minimum wage back in 1982. Steve was the only guy in the company who had a house. Luckily I found a job that I am fine with doing, and the pay is good. The job you love or the job that pays...
I think John Harshman is working for Steve now. |
