I think Hall's in his email already stated out the fact why he oppose the idea to Hexcell.

1. It is a clone with the exact naming of "Bluemax"
2. It charges $$
3. Hall is going to reprint the offline version sometime soon. He need to control the copy online to protect his intellectual right.

Personally if you go to hexcell and you could see I also contribute a lot to that site until I know it is an illegal copy of the game.

Nick and I didn't object idea of promoting others game site even it is direct competition. (None of the message mentioned Hexcell or other games site did moderated/modified/deleted)

Recently I also suffer sickness in my right eye so I totally understand on Hall's intention and the difficulty he is facing at the current moment.

On a user point of view it might be not too pleasant to have another clone close down. Especially it have the campaign feature which is currently youplay.it lack of.

However from the author/designer point of view, he should have the complete and unquestionable intellectual rights about the creation he have.

That is my HKD 2 cents.
