| | Message text I received the following from Justin Walduck of Hexcell.
Phil,
I am so sorry but honestly this is the first time I have seen the "desist" email. I have searched my email archives and I do not have a copy of it.
I have already taken down Blue Max. The game cannot be accessed right now and I will be removing references to it on the Hexcell site as well as other sites as I find them.
I can only say again how sorry I am that this has happened. I only ever wanted to go forward with your blessing which I thought I had. I have an email from you sent the same day in February last year saying you had no objections after speaking to the admin's at YouPlay.it
I know it sounds suspiciously convenient that I got the "go" email and not the "stop" email. I don't know what to say, except that is what happened. I am beginning to sound like a broken record the number of times I am saying I'm sorry.
Finally I realize that this whole incident may have soured you to me. But I hope that my actions since I have become aware of this yesterday show you that I do respect you and your game. It would be my fondest wish at some point in the future we could come to some arrangement whereby I could make your game available again, always on the understanding you could request it removal at any time.
Once again, I am sorry for this whole mess.
Justin Walduck
I accept his apology, believe he did not receive the email (he may still get it. I received one that was more than two years old once). So at this point all is forgiven and forgotten on my side. It appears to be Murphy and the internet interfering with communications. |
