If it is part of the game, then it is part of the game and so be it. Dislike the guy and play with him no longer if possible.
I would like to point out that flying off the edge of the map is only here on the youplay.it site because it is too difficult to actually program the system the way the rules are written.
The actual rules for the board game state:

A player is considered to have escaped if his plane flies off the edge of the playing surface behind the side's start line. (An aircraft may not fly off the edge anywhere else.) Honour demands that a player not attempt to escape until he has good reason for doing so.
This is very straightforward to me.
However I acknowledge the problems of coding so also know that we are playing youplay.it Blue Max and not the original game. As such the rules here allows people to fly off the edge. We can moan and complain but in the end we have to abide by the rules.
You choose how you play, but you have to consider that those decisions reflect upon you. It takes ages to build a reputation and seconds to lose it.
A bad reputation is like a bad smell, it lingers for ever and everyone knows about it.
So when playing consider how your decisions may be interpreted by your opponents and allies. Yes you can play by the rules, or you can play by the spirit of the rules. I consider you to be more of a man if you fly well and lose rather than sneak away.
But hey - it is your choice and if the number of opponents you have suddenly dwindles - look at yourself before you judge them.
