While I would appreciate a friendly discussion on what state, country and nation "exactly" mean, it seems that the discussion has become too much heated.
In my opinion, the option to select a country in the profile is just to let users express themselves by showing something of them.
Some UK users wished to use England, Scotland and Wales flags and as I felt that:
1) it was important for them
2) it was easy to add those flags and it would make happy a good amount of users
I have asked Nick if we could do that change and the change was done, end of story.
There was no "exact definition of country" involved in this process, so there's no need to argue over it here, especially if the arguing goes down to insults and such.
I understand that it is difficult to stop when feeling insulted, but please let's all end hostilities now.
