Please note that the new world encyclopedia entry for England states:
"England is often mistakenly considered the same as the United Kingdom, or the same as the island of Great Britain, which consists of England, Scotland, and Wales."
I believe you fall into that mistaken belief that England the Country and the United Kingdom are the same place.
Oh, lonely planet states that England is a country.

How many references do you want? I'm English, I may be reserved, but I'm as stubborn as a mule when I feel that my Country has been insulted.
Suggesting that England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are the same place is an insult to us all.
I tend to agree with Kit, If the Manx & we Irish get a flag (I fly the Manx flag because it's unusual and my grandmother's 2nd husband was Manx) Then by gosh the Welsh & the Scot's ought to have one too (seems as though it would be an easy add/fix but what do I know?)
