Head, would you call historical game one where no altitude is considered? Where you can choose and AUTOMATICALLY execute a manouver without possibility to fail or to break wings? One where no limited ammunition is accounted for? No flak, no collision? Fictitious boundaries? Complete situation awareness by seeing the map and reading the manouvers just done by all others? Having a nice sheet where all possible manouvers for all are listed? One where you can certainly define every aircraft involved, and its nationality? No friendly fire? One where you can choose down your best move with all the time you need, no just mere seconds?
If your answers to above are all yes, then you are in your full right to seek some justice in the scoring system. Otherwise just consider it a game "freely inspired to" aerial combat in WWI and enjoy it
