blackstar0, your points are correct. This is a GAME. Many get confused that this is a simulation.
If I remember correctly, it was my reading of Billy Bishops notes that stated him sneaking up behind enemy planes (which surprised me), and then shooting 5 or 10 bullets for the kill (pilot killed chit which I hate so much). I state this last in defense of those rooting for kills as the only scoring mechanism. It does represent some realism.
Boxing is a game/sport, if it wasn't, they could break each others knees, elbows, etc, and probably would. This is a game in which the points are necessarily artificial. Thank goodness we can argue about it every 6 months or so. |
