| | Message text A few observations:
First, I have found that even when I communicate to my shipmates in perfectly clear language (well, at least clear to me), there is a better than a 50/50 chance that the message is missed or misunderstood. The odds with covert comm is even worse.
Second, the probability of fighting a well-orchestrated battle is inversely proportionally to the number of players involved - particularly under Basic Rules. For the best results, stick with a few players you know well.
Third, at times like these, I find it helpful to say the following: "It's only a game. It is suppose to be fun. It's only a game. It is suppose to be fun." Repeat as many times as necessary.
Life is too short to pick fights in cyberspace. We are all here because we enjoy Wooden Ships. If some of us want to introduce variations, special rules or restrictions, that should be fine as long as everyone is on the same page.
take care,
Ogre
