I've noticed that there are some games that get deleted (because someone didn't complete their move after the required time) but other games don't and instead just automove forever. What's up with that? What's the rule here about deleted games?
Also, for some of my games that got deleted, sometimes I would get an email notification that it was deleted and other times, I don't.
Finally, while I am on the subject, there should be a new feature that enables a pilot to "exit forever" from the game. I've noticed that there are some games where people just disappear and either never come back or only come back once in a blue moon. With the "exit forever" functionality, your plane would then be taken over by the program and automoved instantly. This way, if someone knew that they were done playing (and never wanted to come back), they could indicate that they left the game forever and to let their plane be automoved. With the current automove, it only moves the planes at (I think) a rate of once per day. If the program knew that a player was retired from the game, then it can automove him instantly so that at least all of the other players wouldn't have to wait 24 hours to make another move.
I'm in a game with ksnake and normally our games are over in like 30 minutes. But we have 4 players who are/were automoved so it has really...slowed...us...down...Assuming that the other players really had no intention of ever coming back, then they could have used this "exit forever" functionality and then at least automover would have made some faster moves in this game. I believe the programming works like this:
If a game requires an automove on turn 1 or 2 it is deleted. After turn 2 it is automoved. |
