One of the thing that I like about GURPS is its ability to adapt to almost every era from stone age to extreme sci-fi and mantain playability. Unlike AD&D where a 20th+ level fighter can survive the equivalent of a nuclear detonation at ground zero; GURPS will make you think if someone stick an assault rifle in your back. Matter of fact players have died in my games (back then) when they decide to so something stupid while someone is sticking an AKM in their back. |
