Message text I don't check the message board often, but I'll admit I flew off the topmost edge on purpose recently in a league game. The battle was reduced to me vs one other plane that had significantly more points and fuel (he had a Snipe). At this point my opponent started flying full speed in a large circular pattern around the map. I could not catch him as I'm sure he had more fuel than I did, and did not want to waste playing several turns until I ran out of fuel - so I left. If my opponent does not want to engage I find that just as dishonorable. I would counter by saying if there is no enemy within 5 (or some other number)of hexes you can leave off of whatever edge you want.
