René Fonck would fly around the melee to pick an easy prey and shoot it down (he was a marksman).
Some others aces would flee when seeing unfavourable odds... I do not remember which one said something like: the war will go on tomorrow but my life could have ended today.
So, do not fall under the WWI propaganda: although some pilots were heroes, and even had some chivalry moves, this was not the rule.
When dreaming at the sky "knights", the people would forget about their familly members dying in the muddy trenches...
Youplay is however a game, where this chivalry can take place, because it's just being nice to your gaming partner. And may be, he will like this behaviour and challenge you for other games...
