I have been over 200 games a couple of times and it is a bit much, but I average around 100 and wouldn't like to see the max any lower then 150.
I would like to see newbies limited to opening or joining no new games untill after their first, some number of games say 10, have reached some number of turns, say 5. that is showing they will log on at least a couple of day in a row and if they burn out and leave fine, otherwise welcome to the comunity.
Also, Automove once a day.... I say once you drop into automove as soon as the server can it makes the move, two players vs an automover can finish in a hour, not two months.

i would hate to see a limit imposed on newbies...
the best and fastest way to sour a new player to a site would be to restrict his ability to join games or start games
i certainly agree that all players should have a limit of how many games they can join...i personally limit myself to about 20 or so...no more than that...
with regards to automove...if a player automoves in a game more than three times...he should be ejected from the game and a new player allowed to join...also in such a case the person who is ejected should be restricted from joining any other games and ejected from ALL games he is currently in...auto moving or not
a little Draconian perhaps...but it will send a message to that player that his attitude is not appreciated and will not be tolerated
