Message text Thank you, yes it seems I was missapplying the Theorem. I appreciate the factual link showing the difference. My confusion came from it being applicable to multiple die, but not a single.
In our live game, we got rid of the damage chits, well, actually, we used up everyone's beyond recognition, so we made a list of damage from 00 to 99. Most players roll damage with 2d10s. Therefore, we put all the common stuff in the 40s, 50s, and 60s, like fuselage and wing hits. Critical hits are in the 00s and 90s and engine and tail are in the 20s and 80s.
So I'm looking at getting my engine shot out all the time, and using our live game table, I can't figure out how a random number generator could possible miss the middle of the curve so much. Well, if we're doing 1d100 rolls instead of 2d10, then there's your answer. I'm obvioulsy not happy about it, but at least I understand what's going on now. Thanks guys.
