It rolls 1 too often, and much more often than 1/6 of the time, where the odds should be.

People, try to be serious, rand it's perfect for this job.
Of course there are dozens of better of pseudorandom generators for scientific pourposes, but they are better in terms of decorrelation and recurrence times, useful indicators when you would need some 10^12 really
random numbers.
But this is not our case. And I am ready to bet that you feel people keeps getting too many 1's since that's exactly the kind of roll one notices.
It is a psychological problem, not a statistical one... |
