Greetings earthlings,
I have to admit that there is a certain tactic that really depletes my goat herd - that's people flying off the edge of the playing area during a league match.
I've just had a word with BMBug and he's spitting feathers about a player who did that to him this afternoon.
I think that the rules should be changed for leagues when someone does this.
They should be treated as shot down, and their opposite number get full points for a kill and all the benefits that entails.
It is silly that gamesmanship should be allowed to benefit poor pilots who can vacate the airspace rather than trying their skill at gliding to their own lines.
Obviously there are times when a tail hit has the same result, but this is tough, leaving the area for whatever reason is abandoning the game and should be punished.
Other thoughts?

This tactics has been in used for as long as I have been a member of this site. Instead of getting the -1 league point for being shot down, you get 0 league point and your opponent will get 4 points. Experienced pilots do that all the time and this is the first time I hear someone complains about it.
BTW: I am the one that pulled this on your brother BMBug in game 497716. http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_GameMove.asp?GameID=497716
He can call me whatever he likes and I do not care since other experienced pilots other than pokerguy and me use this whenever it is impossible to get back to our own line. You will see at least one of these in every 2 players BM league!
Calling other with that certain term on this site has started Flame Wars in the past.
