thanks for clarifying, litehoof. I didn't know about the straight stall.

I'm pretty sure that the second scenario happened though. I was expecting that if my opponent had jammed and if I stayed in my opponent's firing area, that I would be safe. But, I did get fired upon on a turn right after a jam. Very strange.
