Being a sad old git I do have the original boxed game of Blue Max that I still play, despite the counters and chits being somewhat worn. Throughout the years I have noticed that on a rare occasion the two above chits do come up and it really irritates me.
However on this website, seven out of my last ten games were ended with one of these outcomes. Not all against me, but either way, that is far too high an occurrence.
I would therefore like to suggest that a campaign is begun to bring this to the attention of the programme writers so that they can create a “fix” to reduce the frequency with which these highly unusual occurrences happen.
I have no doubt that this has been done in the past, but just because it didn’t work last time doesn’t mean we should give up. I’m new here, and like fresh mustard, I’m still keen.
Have fun chaps, and chapesses.

Besides the fact that when you draw your 6th red you have the 50% chance to have picked up one of the two "Pilot Killed" or the "Fuel Tank Explode", I give you an easy solution: play standard rules, in that way you eliminate all special damages. Now you don't think about it, but when you are in a Dr.I and you draw a "Engine damaged: no speed 3 or 4 maneuvers" or a "Fabric Tears: no speed 3 or 4 maneuvers", YOU start to be disturbed to play with seating duck. When YOU are in a SPAD and draw a chit that tells you "no restricted maneuvers", you start to be upset too since you are forced to go around as fast as possible since all the other player can now outmaneuver you. Think it over and hear what I tell you, stay standard, you will avoid all that disturbing special damages.
I end telling you what happened to me on the matter. At present I'm busy organizing the second edition of the "Banda del Gobbo" Tournament. During the first edition several of the players talked against the bad luck of the cheats. Now, in the preparation of the second edition, I asked if we wanted to switch to standard, well, almost everybody said that he prefered to play, for one reason or another, with the special damages since luck is part of the game. With this I want to tell you that almost everybody (read more that 90% of the players) like them, so if you switch standard you will find much less opponents and have much less fun. My two cents. |
