New releases are discussed from time to time and I was wondering what everyone's favorite war movie is. Focusing mainly on the 20th century I always enjoy "The Great Escape", "A Bridge Too Far", "Where eagles Dare".
I also enjoyed a fairly recent release called "Letters From Iwo Jima" which I thought was far better than "Flags of Our Fathers".
Of all of these, I would pick ZULU!
Here is my list: ZULU Von Ryan's Express Saving Private Ryan Gettysburg ( General Lee...I have no Division...) A Bridge too Far STALAG 17 (...I see, Six Hundred Funnymen... Kelly's Heroes ((When we was in the Bocage Country, we were Assaulted by them Tigers!) The Great Escape Master and Commander Das Boot BattleGround Stalingrad Cross of Iron The Blue Max (Of course...) Memphis Belle The Longest Day Band of Brothers ( A mini Series; yet, an Epic) Dawn Patrol 12 O'Clock High Waterloo (The Prussians! The Prussians!) Flyboys ( Ok, the Germans needed more than DrI's...) Midway Lawrence of Arabia (Hey? English?) Battle of Britain Battle of the Bulge
