Message text DBurkeG brought up a good point about respect for the enemy, and one film I thought did a very good job of that was "We Were Soldiers", the Mel Gibson Viet Nam movie about the Ia Drang valley in 1965. Also, one of the best war movies I have seen.
Plus, it had a great line: "Custer was a pussy". (Which you would have to understand the history of the unit involved to appreciate ...) |
