How about AH's Air Force (WWII)? A friend and I used to play in high school, but he was the only one who would take the time to learn. I still have the game and am now waiting until my sons are old enough.
That's closer than I used to think as they shot me down last night in Blue Max. It was a 2-1 in their favor, but they are only 6!!
If you guys haven't found it (and I expect you all have), try
http://www.boardgamegeek.comPlenty of people still play Panzer Leader...
my husband (who has now joined this site to play also...and no...we wont be joining games together)
has a large collection of the old Avalon Hill games
including Panzer Leader and Panzer Blitz...he is currently teaching those two games to my 10 year old nephew and he is picking them up very quickly even though his primary language is French...he has also tried out a game of Luftwaffe as well...simultating the strategic bombing of Germany
also in his collection are Jutland and Bismark
the original Stalingrad...Battle of the Bulge and Midway...dozens of others too like the Squad Leader series and then more dozens of games from SPI...GDW...Yaquinto and a few others
he has exposed me to a number of air combat games including the GDW Dauntless and Air Force and he soundly whips my behind every time...i can only beat him on the PC...one he is dying for me to try though is Iron Clads...which i think is a Yaquinto game
one that he plays with his friends is World in Flames monster game by some Australian game design group...its a huge game and takes up a huge space in our basement family room
love to hear of all the old games
