So that new players would get a better chance at a positive experience, how hard would it be to have all new players with less than 100 games, denoted in a different way. Perhaps listing them in another color such as Blue or Green, would make it easier for people to find players with the same beginning experience. Just an idea. It has to be frustrating to learn the hard way, and a little success can go a long way so far as enjoyment of the game.

I guess you'd say I'm right down the middle on this one. I tend to enjoy playing with players of all levels of experience. In any game that I feel I'm less apt in, I like to play opponents with higher abilities. Helps me learn what to do and what salient points I may be missing.
I understand the frustration of adavanced pilots getting in matches with players who are new and may very well have a lower level of committment to BM. When these players quit we can be left with some of these [autopilot] games that seem to go on for ever, but it's kind of the price we pay when bringing in new players.
When I do get hooked up with a newbie, I try and offer some helpful suggestions and encouragement I also agree with the comment someone else made in this thread that someone who has experience with the boardgame really isn't a "newbie" here. Someone else commented that they feel the new players don't read the Rules Section as they learn and get up to speed. Hell, I see players ask questions in this forum who have played hundreds of games and obviously haven't bothered with the rules either.
