| Message text Dear marcuza,
you ideas are all acceptable and correct, but we need to be practical: we have a server that serve some many players, we need to "keep it simple and keep it fast".
Point 1 can be fully implemented in the calculation of the final score for tournaments, but other point are far more difficult to support.
Consider that if you retire from a wrong side you lose half of your points and, if you don't retire in the very first turns, this is already a big loss.
There will be someone that will escape from wrong side to avoid strategic victory, but he will always be on the defeated side and, since in a tournament you play form 9 to 18 games (it depends on the scenario composition), this will have a certain weight on the final ranking.
Consider also that there is 1 point awarded to the best pilot on each side. In a 2 vs 2 scenario, for example, losing half of your point will mean that that point will be awarded to your allied player. He will score at least 1 point more than you in the general tournament ranking.
Anyway, we will try to find a way to include other conditions in the scoring system, but let's start with a simple solution
Thanks for the feedbacks, Nick. |
