Message text The Campaign is over!
Final result is: Germans: 179038 points Allied: 171228 points
Final Campaign scores & statistics: http://www.killyourbrain.com/BMCampaign/index.html
After 23 months (weeks) of combat, Germans and Allied forces have signed an armistice. During the second year of the war, Germans have acquired a stable advantage over Allied forces and they are thus the winners of this struggle. However, the advantage (+7810 points) may seem small compared to overall fight (350266 points) and losses sustained by both sides. This Campaign has seen quite a lot of action, here's look at some numbers: 1606 games played (11% of all BM games played during the same period, 87% considering non-league games only) A total of 2738 pilots, flown by 379 players. - 1292 german pilots, flown by 291 players. - 1446 allied pilots, flown by 330 players. - 242 on 379 players fought for both sides. Only 398 pilots survived the war (about 15%). On average, pilots who got killed had flown slightly less than 3 missions. However, some pilots lasted a lot more with All-time top pilots usually flying 10 missions or more. Talking about top pilots, the resulting All-time best where: Pilot #2148 (Templars) for Germans forces, with 2754 points and 35 kills on 56 missions and Pilot #297 (Rene_Fonck) for Allied forces, with 2268 points and 22 kills on 46 missions. Statistics say that overall 142 players have flown more than 10 games in the campaign, 34 players have flown more than 50 games and 16 people actually more than 100 games! So I'd say quite a few people got involved into the campaign
However, what the numbers can't really describe (beside the fact that we played a lot), is how much fun we had playing the Campaign. My personal experience playing in the campaign is that I liked a lot playing through the various months and try all the different planes. I was also obviously pleased that many other people liked the campaign idea and had fun with it.
Now that the Campaign is over, I'd like to receive feedback from all of you who played it (and maybe even those who didn't play it) to know what you liked and what you didn't like. With your feedback, we can start thinking together how the next campaign might be
