Rather than adding scenario after scenario of generally similar design, what if we added some additional plane models.
Now we could do this regardless of whether they appeared in the Blue Max game or not. It isn't hard to put together some model charts based on the excellent Canvas Eagle work (though for simplicity sake they have to be toned down).
I thought the addition of some Observation Balloons for scoring possibilities would also be a good idea.
It would be great to be able to model a Gotha IV or Ilya Muromets.
I'm not sure how possible this would be. The designer would need the data etc and maybe he purposely left off other planes. The hampered Camel and Fokker Triplane are clues to the limitations. Though the accuracy of the observers guns is always a huge head scratcher to me. More planes would be great though if we can. The more the merrier.
I find the scenario list can be odd at times. Plenty of them just don't make much sense to me. If there was a way to create games on the fly with the planes you wanted to create your favorite 'what if' match ups then we would have something pretty nifty. Not holding my breath for that though.

Don't really care about balloons. What's the challenge in that?
Obstacles for 1 I would think, baloons ("terrain" if you will) would add a noteworthy depth to LoS and manuevering norms, they could also open an interesting chapter in legitimate "balloon busting"/defense scenarios that could be player managed (a stretch I know) until/if official (with scoring addendums) scenarios could be devised.
