The rule probably confuses more people than any other rule. But, it was in the board game as well.
OK guys, can we let some realism in here. OMG!!! did he say realism. Thats blasphemy. Can we just let the occasional f-up go and quit trying to plan our games around the fact that a crew should act the same way every time in the same situation. They didn't. Case in point the Santa Ana at Trafalgar hung on thru most of the battle while getting its teeth kicked in. Anybody remember the Bonhomme Richard against the Serapis? It adds flavor and doubt to a battle. Or do we play for predictability? I don't. But thats just me whos been playing this game since 1974. Play on gentlemen.(and occasional ladies I believe)
