The planes in a scenario might be simple enough using the +/- shot down differential. But what about for pilot rankings? Based on kill ratio? Win/loss record? Average or total points? How do you balance the three so that the ranking system doesn't get to be a metagame?
The metrics should be consistent: if you are counting the kill ratio for players, then the kill ratio of aircrafts must be taken in consideration. If you are determining a score based on won games, you must check the victory ratio each a/c (aircraft) model.
In this sense, there should be no difference between the kill difference and kill ratio, as scores, by their own methods, can be normalized. |
