Well, this weighted scoring method looks similar to the one neko implemented in takeaplay (neko, feel free to shoot me if the analogy is wrong ).
The idea that hard-to-kill planes and players should count more than rookies is a good one.

Not really, the system could be made to update the planes and players' ratings with regards to their performance.
I would like to know whether it is necessary to keep the full history of all players (who killed who in which game).
