For sure it is Pearl Harbor since it is offensive in all the three parts (presentation of the Eagle Squadrons, the attack, Doolittle Raid).
As long as it regards the "Thin Red Line" someone must explain me how it could have been presented to the public the environment in which the GI had to move. The idea of the director was to show to the viewer that the Soldier venturing into the jungle of Guadalcanal was completely unaware of what he would have found on the other side of the brush that was in front of him. He tried with steady-cams and, in my opinion, he made a good try. Then you have to remember that on Guadalcanal you don' have any good story, like the one on Soldier Ryan.
