Does "Starship Troopers" count as a 'war' movie? If so, that mnight be worst. Totally crapped all over everything the book was about ... The amusing, when you speak of "Starship Troopers", is that telling something different from the acclaimed idea that it is an offense to the book, causes the discussion to set aflame.
Personally I always thought that the book could not be used to generate a movie, for this reason I would like that someone explains me how it could be done a movie that do not miss the "point of the book". To do it you should do a much longer thing, in the range of "Band of Brothers", but it would not have any success.
Provided this point, when I went to see the movie, I didn't expected a lot, so I decided that: 1) It was the best that it could be done from the book. 2) The production would have been blamed by purist.
I'm sure that even this time no one will be able to explain me how it could have been made a correct movie on "Starship Troopers". |
