played about 260 games by now. Seems strange to me we (english speaking born people) are not able to communicate in other Languages. I'm quite amazed at all the other pilots from other country's are able to play this game and chat in english...even when its not perfect. just a note thats all
??? People speak other languages? Na, you must be mistaken. I watched a LOT of Hogan's Heroes when I was growing up and I can assure you that all the foreigners speak English. Sure they may pepper their speech with words like Raus! and such but everybody speaks English ~ even in Black Sheep all the Japanese spoke English.
To be more culturally sensitive though, when playing a German pilot I will strive to use the many culturally sensitive phrases I learned from that wonderful study in multiculturalism (Hogan's Heroes). For example if I make a bad move I'll be sure to type out, "I know nothing! Noth-ing!" When I see an allied pilot attempting a sneaky move I’ll type out, “I know you are up to somethinG (note the accented ‘g’)”, or, when I get frustrated I’ll be sure to type in big letters, “HOGAN!” and when an enemy goes down I’ll gloat with a snappy, “30 days in the cooler!”
