How does movement work when you have ships that have different movement speeds. In particular, let's say you have a ship with movement 4, and one with movement 1. If the ship with movement 1 rotates into the path of the movement 4 ship, does a collision occur if the movement 4 ship has left the collision hex by the end of its move? In other words, if the movement 4 ship either starts in, or passes through the hex eventually occupied by the stern of the turning ship, how do you know exactly when the turn happens? Forgive me if there is a part of the rules that covers this that I didn't understand.
Movement works like this: All ships take their 1st move, check for collisions. Then all ships take their 2nd move, check for collisions, etc. Backing Sails was unfortunately not programed into this version of the game, so a ship can not "wait" for another to clear. So a ship's relative speed has nothing to do w/ it. Oh, yes, and drifting happens after ALL ships have moved.
I hope that helps.
