| Message text Many of you've played with pbass111, his real name was John Beamsderfer. John passed away at his apartment in Ft Pierce, FL on March 9th, a Friday. He had been suffering from cancer. He was an old friend of mine, we used to play Wooden Ships and Iron Men in person before we discovered this site. I'm not sure if this has become known yet on this site. I became ill myself Monday a week ago (3/12) and ended up going to the hospital. I had abdominal surgery Friday (3/16), they found a blockage in my instestine, fortunately no sign of cancer was found. I'm now recovering in the hospital, so I've been out of it for the last week and a 1/2.
