frankly i dont play in games where there is alteration of the general rules of the game
i dont recall if the lewis gun is an option from the game or not and i dont think the game has an ammunition supply rule
i am expressing my opinion on the matter of rule changes, which happens to be that I am against them...i prefer to play the game as it was designed and i think my reasons were pretty clear i dont think that makes me a Luddite and certainly not a hypocrite
you can disagree if you like but i dont think that gives you any license to resort to name calling
I wasn't calling you names dear lady - I was describing your reaction to Edward's ideas.
A Luddite is someone who refuses to accept change and will fight against it for no apparent reason. I believe that this is a true description of your reaction of refusing to accept a suggestion of new rules solely because they are new rules.
The original game had the Lewis Gun, that has a limited ammunition supply of only five boxes per magazine. A long burst fired three, a medium fired two and a short burst fired one. There was also a limit on the number of magazines carried. This applied to the Nieuport 17, Bristol F.2b and the S.E 5a.
Please note that there were three burst types not two. The short burst has been removed from the online game because it only affected the Lewis Gun.
The original game refused to allow players to fly off the edge of the playing area - you could only leave from your own side.
In the original game you could play without the restricted manoeuvres.
You could also gain extra abilities.
This online game is based upon the original but is in no way the game that Phil Hall published. That does not mean that I dislike this game, in fact I find it great fun, but I do not confuse it with the original game Phil created.
A hypocrite is someone who says one thing and does another. You are saying that you only want to play the original game, but that doesn't exist on youplay.it.
I stand by my description - if you want to take that as name calling or an insult examine yourself and your actions first in light of this information.
