What about the number of turns?
You can get a game with twenty turns in a day or a game that has twenty turns in twenty days.
Length of game by days is no measure - it is length of games in turns that determines the length surely?
Game turns weren't as easily available as game duration from my Campaign data, so I went for duration in days.
Duration in days might seem an "indirect" measure, but it's still relevant..or even more relevant than turns from a certain point of view.
Infact the complain was that "leagues already take months to complete"..so using the real time scale instead of game turns is perfectly ok.
It is true that fuel means you can do more turns, but usually more turns will become "more days" anyway. Unless there is some factor that makes people who use extra fuel option to play faster than people who don't.
Also when did the extra fuel become available - I thought it was part way through the campaign - so the data isn't from an equivalent time period.
Just some thoughts
True, the "normal fuel" statistics covered a longer time period. I have now corrected the table to cover only games since the first extra-fuel game was created.
